Taking Charge of Your Health: Why Wellness Screenings Matter
When it comes to your health, knowledge is power. Wellness screenings give you an opportunity to gain knowledge about your health. Many chronic conditions develop quietly over time, often without any noticeable symptoms. That’s why wellness screenings are so valuable for long-term health. They provide a snapshot of your current health so you can establish or update your personal health baseline. By participating each year, you can track trends over time and compare results year after year. Wellness screenings can help identify risk factors so you can catch potential health concerns early. Wellness screenings also give you the opportunity to work with your health provider to make changes before small concerns become bigger problems.
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Why Early Detection Matters:
Many of the most common chronic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, can be managed much more effectively when they are detected early. In many cases, early lifestyle changes can delay, prevent, or even reverse disease progression. Wellness screenings aren’t about finding something wrong; they’re about staying informed and taking proactive steps to stay healthy.

How Health Coaching Can Help:
For accountability and support when making positive lifestyle changes, work with a III-A Contracted Health Coach! Knowing what to do and actually doing it are often two very different things. That’s where health coaching can make a meaningful difference. Rather than prescribing one-size-fits-all solutions, a health coach can help you identify your personal goals, overcome barriers, and build healthy habits that fit your lifestyle.

Invest 10 minutes today for a healthier tomorrow—we hope to see you at your screening:
Remember, your numbers don’t define you; they simply provide valuable information. What matters most is what you choose to do with that information. Take advantage of your wellness screenings to ask questions, understand your results, and use them as a roadmap for healthier living. Combine awareness with positive lifestyle changes to take meaningful steps toward a healthier, more vibrant future, one small habit at a time.
Watch for an email from your agency administrator with your screening date, registration link, and available appointment times. After your screening, you’ll receive your lab results within about two weeks. If anything needs follow-up, a III-A Contracted Provider will personally reach out to review your results and discuss any recommended next steps.
